2. Visiting the website (server log files)

When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This data is used for secure and stable operation, is not combined with other data and is deleted automatically after a short period. The legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set tracking cookies without your consent. Fonts are served locally from our server; there is no connection to Google Fonts.

4. Scoping requests and contact

When you contact us via the form or by email, we process your name, business email, company, role, request, timeline and message in order to answer your request and prepare a proposal. The data is stored in our website system and emailed to our team. We delete it when it is no longer needed, at the latest after 24 months without further contact – unless statutory retention obligations apply. The legal basis under the GDPR is pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest.

5. Newsletter

For the newsletter we need your email address. We use double opt-in: you first receive an email with a confirmation link; you are only subscribed after confirming. We store the time of sign-up and confirmation as proof. You can unsubscribe at any time – via the link in every newsletter or by emailing us.

6. Engineering network applications

If you apply to our network, we process your details (name, email, profile links, focus, experience, availability, message) to assess your fit for client engagements. We store them for up to 24 months; you can request deletion at any time.

8. Email and processors

For email and office organisation we use Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply in addition. Our website is operated by a hosting provider with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement.

9. Disclosure abroad

Remoteplatz GmbH is based in Germany. If you contact us from Switzerland, your data is therefore transferred to Germany, which according to the Swiss Federal Council provides adequate data protection. Transfers to countries without adequate protection only take place with appropriate safeguards, in particular standard contractual clauses.

10. Links to review platforms and social networks

We link to Trustpilot, Google, LinkedIn and YouTube. These are plain links; data is only transmitted when you click them.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Please contact hi@remoteplatz.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in Germany the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

12. Data security

The website is encrypted with TLS. We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
