Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to work remotely with a leading company from Germany.
About the company:
we help retailers and manufacturers to sell better. Our solutions have already changed the communication and distribution of product data in entire industries. We are working on digitizing German specialist retailers and brand manufacturers and making them fit for the future.
We connect markets, companies, and people.
Your Tasks include:
- Planning of the development roadmap together with the management.
- Estimation of development costs for individual tickets.
- Development of highly scalable Java cloud platforms in IntelliJ according to the SCRUM model with the help of Youtrack in defined sprints and release periods. By scalable we mean 100+ million requests and tens of terabytes of traffic per month ;-).
- Core development, not the small adjustments but further development of our open source sirius framework and the basic applications.
- Review of the sprints in retrospectives.
- Testing of the implemented software with unit tests and integration tests with Testlodge.
- Processing of level 3 support requests.
Your profile
- You are an absolute expert in developing Java web applications. (Java, Kotlin, HTML, CSS, JS ).
- You have initial experience with NoSQL databases ( Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis ).
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Ideally, you are familiar with cluster architectures and distributed systems.
- You like to work agile in a team according to SCRUM.
- You manage your code with Git.
- You reliably keep to given agreements and tasks and like to go the extra mile from time to time.
- You work independently and always think actively.
- You want to make a difference and show patience and discipline when solving complex tasks.
- Your motto: " It doesn't work, doesn't exist! ”
- You plan ambitiously but doable and see opportunities in challenges rather than problems. (“If it were easy, anyone could do it.”).
- Fluent English is a must.
